Yet another in a long line of demonstrably false/bullshit/misleading titles.

Why are you still allowed to post here?

His posts make the owners money, why do you think? The same reason all the trolls are allowed to be here. They post inflammatory things and people click the threads.... a lot.

My opinion is some of the more terrible offenders are paid to be here. If you look at their posting patterns, they go on "sprees" focusing on certain topics or posting styles for a period only to change positions some time later or move on to something newer.

Biking is not good for the gasoline tax. So they must money grab in other ways. That is all.

I'm able to speak politician.

They can't raise the gas tax on the fewer number of people who are driving because gas prices are already high and people are already avoiding gas guzzlers, for the most part. It would harm the economy. Not everyone of course, but damn could I go for a 40mpg car over my 30mpg car.

Anyone getting under 20mpg I feel for them.

exactly and since Washington has a huge cycling community its low hanging fruit.

Its not a joke bill and the guy is actually factually correct

you riding a bike vs sitting in a car are giving off more CO2.

sure the car is spitting a shit ton out but the human is not.

A pretty irrelevant amount of CO2 all things considered.

and no its not a joke, its also not a bad idea either. if cyclist want to be treated and respected on the road by drivers then chipping in on the cost to maintain them would help that.

Yes it is. Most cyclists already own cars and pay the gas tax anyhow. Hell, aren't they doing you a service by driving less and doing less actual damage to the road? I'm sure the 15-35lbs of bike they're riding is really destroying that pavement.

Where do we stop? Walking tax? Breathing Tax? Living Tax?

I think bicyclists should pay some kind of tax. They are using the roads that all of us auto drivers pay for. And I think bicyclist are at the top for emergency room visits.

Of course the C02 is irrelevant the legislator in this case was being absurd.

I own cars and ride my bike. When I commute by bike 32 miles round trip over 90% of that is in bikes lanes which I'm sure are an additional expense to road construction.

I'm not a fan of bike tax I'd rather see registration if they are going to tax.

But I see some Merritt in having cyclist pitch in for cost of roads.

Paying a registration fee is a reasonable topic of discussion but not because cyclist commuters produce more CO2 than their driving counterparts. That is a physical impossibility. But maybe he'll do better running health care. :p

Wow, somebody tell this guy what "carbon neutral" means. (And I notice that not a single conservatard ITT has a clue, either.)

More lies from Mcowned, and more forced to change threat title. FYI mcowned,

I was the one who reported your post. Just trying to keep you honest.

It is a full time job huh . . stalking dave all the time?

Funny he claims to be trying to keep me honest when he is the clear liar on this site.

He also admits to the stalking.

I have him on ignore along with his buddy Jowo.

Can't say the same for the management obviously they jump and ask how high on every breath of these two liars and stalkers.

It's interesting, disturbing and all in black and while for the world to see just like ironically Lopped pointed out when searching Google.

Google spends billions on their very smart search engine algorithm.

Of course it will only pick up the exact way I put that Title, I added Washington and Republican which is true for both.

The article was more generic and said Lawmaker.

Management called me a Liar on that Thread Title and gave it an infarction.

Clearly the only liar is the stalker Lopped and management sided with him.

Again all in black and white for the world to see.

I notice that no one agrees with the politicians claim.

So back to the Topic and not attacking me the poster.

Do you not think they will eventually get to the point of taxing air?

I'll remind you that if you have a problem with the moderation here you're supposed to make a thread in Moderator Discussions, not air your grievances (which in this case are ridiculous) publicly. Rather than infract or vacation you for that, let's double down. You provide a link to the article on slashdot, that shows your original thread title ("Washington Republican wants to ban bicycling because releases too much CO2") You can use a cached link on Google, or whatever, and I'll publicly apologize and remove the infraction.

You *don't* provide the link to prove what you've been saying for over a day now, and we vacation you from the forums for lying and publicly attacking the moderation.

I provided a link to hundreds of the articles.

Yahoo, Slashdot all the front pages changes their Titles all the time pointing to the same article.
