Startup into XP Pro?

I bought a new Dell laptop and did away with the Dell software package, it slowed things down.

It came with XP Home, but I wiped the drive and put on XP Pro, but it still has a startup dialogue asking which OS I want to boot to - how do I get rid of this?

edit your boot.ini file, which will be at the root of your hard drive. Alternately, go to run---->msconfig-----> the boot.ini tab---> check all boot paths. It should find a problem and you can fix it from there.

Thanks Yankeesfan, much appreciated.

I have Pro, it came with Home. Why would you even post such a message?

he oobviously had a question...maybe I missed it but there was a question mark at the end of his sentence....
