I am running win 98 on a PC and I went into the msconfig command window to look at the start up files. Well there are like 30 of them in there, most of which I have no clue about.
Well I have a couple of questions:
How can I find out what each does before I delete them and
What is the safest way to get rid of them? Should I just track down each file as listed in the description and manually delete them?
Second Issue: I was wondering how come I cannot delete ALL the files from my Temporary Internet files Folder. I go in and choose the option to show all files (including hidden and system), select everything and delete. However, when I go to the properties of the folder it says that it is 70MBs with over 1000 files in it. Any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks
