Startup error

Hey
When i start my computer i get this error popup
"The procedure entry point SMapLS could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"

Can anyone help me please

That sounds quite bad... kernel32 is the heart of the operating system. Does everything work ok?

Have you run virus and spyware scans?

Hey.
Thanks for the reply, i didnt know if anyone would write.
Yea the computer runs fine as far as i can see apart from this error that pops uup as u are loading windows just after logging in.
I have run virus and spyware scans and cleaned the machine up.
Hope someone can help me

Did some searching on google. A few people said do a repair. I did and it didnt work.
Does anyone have an idea????

the actuall box heading says this

Explorer.EXE - Entry point not found.

there has to be somone out that that knows something.

after you repaired did you reinstall sp2, or did the repair media have xpsp2 in it already?

The repair had the SP2 installation alreay in it
