I recently purchased a new PC Chips T18 Intel Socket 775 ATX Motherboard and a new 3.0 ghz socket 775 pentium 4. last night went to attempt an instalation of it, after finaly figuring out the correct power switch connection i turned the computer on to find it ran for about a minute and then shut down automaticaly. I have cleared the Cmos and checked the connections, i think it has something to do with the hard drive since it will always shut down when it reaches loading a certain file, when starting the computer in safe mode.
pc specks are as followed
420 watt psu
80 gig HD
9200 ati cid card
512 ddr ram

thank you for your help

You might try booting off the cd and doing a repair installation of windows or you could use the file repair utility on the cd to restore your system files. Otherwise you might just have to reinstall windows especially if you've changed chipsets with the mb swap.
