The parts are...

Abit AN8 939 SLI
7800 GTX
amd 3500+ 64
160 gb hard drive
and some liteon dvd burner
CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered System Memory Model VS1GB400C3
X COOLMAX CR-500B 500W "140mm Fan" Power Supply

can anyone help?

Check the basics:
1. VGA connector connected to monitor.
2. Monitor turned on
3. All power connector to mobo are connected
4. Video Card properly inserted with aux power connected.
5. Check mobo manual to make sure if there are jumpers to be set are set properly.
6. CPU properly oriented or inserted.
7. CPU HSF running?

If these all check out OK and the system still will not post, then go back to bare system by disconnecting all hdd and cd roms. You should see the system post at least. If it still will not post, clear bios using jumper settings. Check your mobo. If the system will not post still most likely you have a lemon mobo. But this can only be checked by verifying the video card and cpu on another system.

Are there any beeps?
