If some of that radioactive water makes it's way across the Pacific to San Francisco Bay it might awaken Mozilla that is supposed to be hiding near Mountain View.

So, how radioactive is the water? How dangerous, if at all, will it be, after being diluted in the ocean?

Godzilla was the result of nuclear/atomic bomb testing. The amount of radiation from one nuclear bomb test is MUCH more than the total amount of radiation in that water... And there were a LOT of tests in the pacific....

The worst I'd worry about now would be a 6 inch tall version of godzilla ....

Not dangerous. The only negative effects this will have are very localized. Effects are heavily concentration-dependent, so as tcsenter said (more or less), the solution to pollution is dilution.

I threw a smoke detector into a swimming pool once. Then, I had 7000 gallons of radioactive water.

OMG RADIOACTIVE WATER makes great headlines, but how radioactive? What isotopes?

Unless the homeopathy folks are right, in which case we're all screwed.

With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound
He pulls the spitting high-tension wires down

Helpless people on subway trains
Scream, bug-eyed, as he looks in on them

He picks up a bus and he throws it back down
As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town

Oh, no, they say he's got to go
Go go Godzilla
Oh, no, there goes Tokyo
Go go Godzilla

Oh, no, they say he's got to go
Go go Godzilla
Oh, no, there goes Tokyo
Go go Godzilla

Oh, no, they say he's got to go
Go go Godzilla
Oh, no, there goes Tokyo
Go go Godzilla

History shows again and again how nature points up the folly of man
Godzilla!

History shows again and again how nature points up the folly of man
Godzilla!

Godzilla!

History shows again and again how nature points up the folly of man
Godzilla!

Nothing to worry about there. Mozilla is at best, just a myth...

Coal fired power plants create eight times as many Godzilla monsters as nucular power. Eight times!

right, because exploding hydrogen bombs in Bikini Atoll didn't put 1,000,000 times more contamination into the Pacific than this and failed to create a godzilla thing
