from the moment you guys boot up and go into bios....what is the temp of your cpu in bios? mine starts at around 43c and climbs to about 53 in 5 minutes and stays there...this is on an ic7 mb and the rest of my stats are in bios....are these normal temps?

Sounds a little high, but I guess if you're using the retail heatsink it's ok.

so do you think my temps are normal...because ive heard abit mb's read 10 degrees higher than othoer mb's...so lets say i had another mb and it was reading as 33 from when i start up...and then climbed to 43.....on a retail heatsink....would that be normal for a 3.0 ?

I don't know about them reading higher... it's possible that they read the actual CPU core temp rather than from a sensor located in the socket. That would tell you the true temperature.

Yes... socket temps are normally at least 5C lower than the actual core temp. For example, running SETI@Home right now, the thermal diode in the core is reading 49C... and the socket temp reads 43.
