Starting phisical dump?

My uncle has a problem with his computer that when he watches a dvd after about 20 minutes it brings up the blue screen of death and says starting phisical dump. It said something about antivirus software and shaders too. Any ideas what's wrong?
 
That's pretty obscure. Shut down the AV and see if it still causes it. If it does, try removing and then reinstalling the AV.
 
yeah. more info is needed. have you tried to disconnect his computer from the net, isolate it, and then disableing the AV? something is interfering with the dvd playback.
 
The av is norton antivirus, and no we haven't tried isolating it, the blue screen screen of death said to disable it in bios, he's not good with computers and I haven't seen this computer for myself, but when I go over I'll try to fix I'm just looking for ideas on whether av software can do this thanks.
