Starting an entrepreneurship club

AFB

Our school has decided since some of our state reps have preposed banning all soft drinks over 12oz for sale at public schools, they are going to do it first. OK, that's fine. Well, there contract came up for renewal at the same time and and they decided that they were going to ask them to put in 12oz can machines instead of the 20oz machines they had, but keep the price the same at 1$, but for a 12oz can inorder to keep "uniformity with the price they charged at sports games".

Anyway, me and a couple people were thinking about starting an entrepreneurship club to sell 12oz cans, but for half or less price(0.5$ or 0.4$) because the only cost about 0.20$ each (~4.5 /24 ~= .19). In addition, since we obviously don't need the money, we were going to donate the profit to charity which would also help cover our ass.

Good/Bad idea?

you'll probabley need a teacher to back you up

I don't think that would be a problem 😉 (the second)

Not sure on the first as they get a commision on the sale from the machines. (IIRC)

If you really want to get permission and all, set it up as a charity - raise funds for some good cause or another. Donate all your profits after "expenses". Have fun.
