ok, here's what I'm reading we need 12

Public Leagues are guaranteed to have 12 teams for the draft. If a Public League is not full prior to the draft, teams will be added from a pool of available managers to reach the required 12 teams.

also, it must be an even #, which makes no diff since our league size is 12. So first 12 to pay is in I guess. 😱

as per a suggestion, we have an updated list of members at the top of the thread. We just got our 10th member (including myself) paid. Next two to pay will take it the last 2 spots.
 
What do you guys want as prizes? Giftcards is what I was thinking? Amazon, cc, bb, ebgames are ones I would add to a list. I know someone's going to mention straight-up paypal, but IMO that's boring. You'll end up using it for something practical :disgust: Wouldn't hurt to talk about it now.

chowmein says he'd PP me tonight. So that would make him #11 if he does.

boring as it may be, i'm all for straight up pp/cash... reason is i live in brazil and it will end up being really impractical for me to collect my top prize and have it shipped over etc 😛

but seriously... let's see what everyone else thinks!

1st - 120
2nd - 60
3rd - 40
4th - 20

hopefully chowmein pp'd you those 20 bones so all we need is 1 spot.... then once everyone is in we should create another thread or maybe even use the yahoo bulletin board (far from ideal, but at least it would keep it private!) to discuss the prize money giveaway format (giftcards, cash, hookers, etc) and other issues pertinent to the league...

oh, another issue: i realize that i'm the one that advocated having the draft time earlier but something came up and i'm gonna be out of town on sunday night and i'm wondering if we could maybe move it an hour later, this way i can be sure that i'll be able to attend... cause i'm not sure about traffic etc on the way back for me... this is only if nobody has any objections, if not i'll just pre-rank my guys and hope for the best! 🙂

That yahoo board really blows. If you have something private, feel free to post there.

I don't like changing the date on people, but I'll contact everyone and see how they feel. If someone else has a prob with it, it's just not fair if someone else misses draft because of a late change. I will say that osiris3mc said he could make it also if it's pushed back.

As for the prize money distribution, I think it's fine as it is. Guys, I don't want to call any votes from now unless it's important. If more ppl speak up that they think it's unfair, then we can vote. Otherwise, a $10 swing is not worth the hassle. Plus it's been 120/60/40/20 this whole time.
 
I'm cool with all settings, and the prize breakdown is fine with me since I'll be getting the $120 anyway I was just trying to help out the second place guy 😉. 9pm or 10pm EST is also fine with me but I doubt there are any openings left on Yahoo. They only allow a certain number of teams to draft per day/time to protect server overload.

To sum Up --- I'm cool with all current settings and thanks to pkypkypky for ALL his work it oraganizing this! Looking forward to the season.

I have someone from GTZ who has paid for 11th spot. I'm not sure who's taking #12 right now.

Sorry, haven't been paying attention lately. The new draft time is fine with me.
 
Winnings? I dunno, no one's really telling me much here. I guess you can have your choice of PP or GC. Some GCs can be emailed like amazon.com & ebgames.com ones. I'll make all necessary arrangements when the time comes.

the draft has changed to Sunday April 3rd 10PM EST

Looks as if TheNinja was right. 10PM was closed when I tried to change it yesterday. I emailed them begging them to let me push the time to 10PM, but have not heard back from them.

Everyone, please be ready for a 9 or 10PM draft. Frag, is the only one who has a problem with the time right now I believe.
