Starting a blog...

I'm trying to start a blog site for my extended family (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.). I have registered a domain name, but now I need to get some space for hosting and also get the right software.

I'm sure there are hosts that specialize in this sort of thing. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'd be willing to pay a monthly fee in order to avoid advertising and whatnot.

The main requirement will be to have multiple blogs (one for each family member).

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

Thanks,
Micah

I'm not certain but each blog may need it's own database. Or maybe like how I said you can add users to the db maybe that might work. Otherwise I'm not sure and it's quite possible that each blog may need its own db.

Wordpress is probably the best blogging software you can get..

Since you already have a domain, all you need now is a web host.. just do a search here and you'll get a boatload of suggestions. Depending on your webhost's setup, you might use either multiple databases for multiple blogs, or a single database for multiple blogs, but each blog has a different table prefix in the database.. it's all done using the blogging software's interface (at least in Wordpress)
