Holy Moley! Julie Andrews is 79 years old and looks 55.

And yeah, I forgot how naturally talented Lady Gaga is too.

Not as good as in previous years, I thought. Seemed like NPH was phoning it in (plus the writing was crappy).

As far as I'm concerned America voted American Sniper best picture with their wallet.

And McDonalds best food and Wal-Mart best store and Hershey's best chocolate.

You don't have the morals to appreciate concern over killing, so you fight for promoting it.

American Sniper rage I take it ?

Boyhood struck out all over I think so I'm happy on that account.

Patricia Arquette won Best Supporting Actress and she was barely surprised considering that she cleaned up in all the other awards.

I haven't seen the nominated films, but my theory is that Birdman was especially relatable to the Academy voters. I was glad to see the Hawking actor and Citizen 4 win.

The host actually got a good amount of screen time, which I found nice. They usually do a few segments in the first hour and then disappear except to introduce presenters. No J.Law made things less interesting.

LMAO! If I say so? It made 300 million!

How much did the Transformers movies earn?

1: $700m
2: $836m
3: $1123m
4: $1091m

Wow. If American Sniper made $300m and deserved one Oscar, then these deserved at least 12!

Yet 'The Silence of the Lambs' didn't even earn $300m and yet picked up 5 Oscars! This is so unfair!

/s

Nah. If Robert Duvall can get nominated at 84 years old, I'd say Keaton has some time left.

and the nom will give him some extra chances.

Didn't even bother to tune in this year and I love movies. The Oscars have started to feel like a gong show with a lot of what gets nominated and wins. I'm surprised to even hear that American Sniper was nominated, much less that there would be shock it didn't win ?! Okay film, but laughable as a best picture, wasn't much to it unless the expectation is that a picture can win based on patriotism.

Ever since the Facebook movie won best picture over some other really stellar films I've been of the opinion that the Oscars are a sham and winners are likely based on connections and favours, rather than genuine merit.
