Just starting my send full week of Insanity and wondering if there is an app that I can plan my meals in and it will put together a shopping list for me.

I started Insanity 2 weeks ago and only did 3 days the first week because of my schedule, so I started over and did a full week and this is my first day of the second week.

From what I read 75% of the results are diet based, so far I haven't changed my diet other than olny drinking water with my meals and if I have to grab fast food for lunch I skip the frys also. So sandwich and water only.

Any recommendations would be great, I just bought some food to make some of the recipes from the documentation with the DVDs.

i did not really alter my diet and had great results doing insanity. just eat sensibly (cut out the fast food, no excessive drinking) and you should be fine. after a couple months, you'll feel as if could jump over a f'ing house.

Another question. Anything that will give me energy in the morning?

I'd like to workout first thing in the morning, but on an empty stomach It's hard to made it all the way through. It is also difficult on a full stomach and I usually wait 1 1/2 hours after my after work meal to start, otherwise the food in my stomach seems to get in the way or cause gas from digestion.

Not eating prior to working out is not smart.

For energy, it depends what you like/works for you. For some a simple cup of coffee is fine.

When I was cutting, my ECA stack was great for 5am energy. Some people like Jack3d and the like. If you get proper rest your energy levels in the morning should be fine once you get used to the sleep changes.

I think my energy levels are fine in the morning, but without any food I start to loose energy about 30 min in. Insanity is mostly cardio, squats, kicks and jumping.

I'd like to eat, but if I don't let it digest for an hour to two I feel bloated during the workout and it's difficult to keep my core contracted.

Maybe something small? or does the Jack3d stuff give you plenty of energy? I'd probably do a protein shake right after and then head to work.

I dont have experience with Jack3d. I just eat some oatmeal and a whey protein shake about 30 mins prior to my workout.

I use Jack3d as my preworkout supplement. I take it about 30-45 minutes before I get to the gym but this is only a few hours after Ive had lunch. Days that I am off of work Ill take it right before I go since I go in the morning. Ill start to feel it within 10 minutes. So if you are taking it on an empty stomache first thing in the morning, you should get that boost right away.

Also to add, avoid the drinks they usually sell at the gym...they usually have like 40+ grams of sugar in them. You get a 'sugar high' then crash and left with your body using those calories first instead of the fat you want to burn.

I have a sci-mx breakfast shake, quick and easy

I don't know what insanity is, but I thought I read here, and other places, that you want to not eat in the morning, and do 30 minutes or so of strength training. This burns up any excess glycogen you have, then start in on your cardio.

This may be more for shedding excess weight, and burning fat though, since that is what I need to do.

I don't see why some fresh oats or granola, without sugar, just a small amount would cause bloating before exercising though.

I know some oatmeal really helps me in the morning. My problem is I need to cut a lot of sugars out of my diet, I eat way to much sugar.
