James,

Welcome to the forum!

It sounds like you have some kind of shut-down problem that precipitates this boot-up dialog. Do you use Windows shut-down or the power button on the front of the PC. Need a little more to go on... is this a home built rig or a store-bought? How long have you had it and did this problem just start, etc. Did you install any new programs just prior to this happening?

Also could be a virus at bay. Do you have anti-virus software and a firewall working on your machine?

Let us know why you think this problem started, what conditions prompted it. etc., and we'll try to help you.

thank you
yes i think its a error in the start up i use the power button on the front maybe this is a bad idea ? havent done anything different intentionally but i did turn the power off without shutting down that was the last time it worked so im thinking it has something to do with that
its a home built gaming rig had it since start of this year but im thinkingits to do with not shutting it down properly last time i turned it off

It's perfectly OK to use the Power button on the front of the computer to start it up. But not so when shutting down. Also shutting down without using the Windows shutdown scheme will cause you to get that start-up dialog. Next time you try to start up, use "Start up using last known good configuration," see what happens. If that doesn't work, try Normal startup. And if that doesn't work, clear your BIOS and try again. If you don't know how to clear the BIOS, read your motherboard manual, it will give you the specific steps.
