start up error

a small error but its a pain to go threw every time i start up my old computer.

I recently fixed up an old dell and did a reformat of the hdd and when i start up the pc i get this error

"Diskette drive 0 seek failure
Primary drive 1 not found
Strike the f1 key to continue, f2 to run the setup utility"

not sure why im gettin this message but when i hit f1 windows boots fine and everything runs normaly. Any help please?

We get a similar problem with the Dells we buy. I assume you have no diskette drive or slave/2nd hard drive. Disable the diskette and any of the unused ide space
in the bios and the message will go away. It something weird with the Dell bios.
