start up disk

Hi,
I just started up my computer and loaded windows xp. How do I get back to the DOS prompt to run my boot up floppy? I probably should have done it first.

just slip the boot disk in and restart your computer.

why are you needing to boot to a floppy?

are you planning a dual boot with another operating system?

Hi,
I just built the computer and the book says that I should save a copy of the original motherboard bios along with the flash memory writer utility to a bootable floppy disk, needless to say I didn't, I installed windows xp first. How do I get back into dos to save it?

put in a boot disk (floppy disk) and reboot your pc
