Stargate:Universe 1x11 "Space" Friday 9pm

"Space"

An unknown device is found aboard the Destiny. When activated it transports Col. Young and the rest of the Destiny crew to the city of Atlantis on Earth. At the same time the residents of Atlantis are transported to the Destiny.

Dr. McKay studies the device and figures out how to get the Destiny home. Activating the device, however, causes the Destiny to be hurled clear across space, to the Pegasus Galaxy.

Where the Wraith have plans for the crew of the Destiny.

Wow. Sounds awesome. There going to tie up the Atlantis series and give the Destiny a real purpose!

Cool. Sounds like an actual episode of... Stargate. And no mention of the stones thank God.

This. :D

Although with how primitive that ship is compared to the ancient warships I have a feeling they are going to get their butts kicked until the last moment where they find a way to escape.

Hopefully the Atlantis cast gets stuck in Destiny permanently and we can continue the series with them instead so we can avoid all the bullshit drama associated with the original cast. :p

Maybe someone will finally check the Atlantis computer to see what it has concerning Destiny....perhaps something a tad useful like the autopilot override codes or an equipment inventory.

Thankfully, it's April Fools and you're full of shit. Unfortunately, SGU was renewed.

What is interesting is the season promo has a very brief clip involving Daniel Jackson... hmm.

Well Jack and Carter were in the opening episode so they have to at least show the other two eventually and I am ok with that.

The actors who played Tealc and Jackson have done almost nothing since the series ended.

The official synopsis for 1x11 reads something like "Col. Young and co find and activate an Ancient device which transports him to an alien ship." The trailer alludes to what appears to be an upcoming antagonist for the series.

What is that? Some kind of lame April Fools joke?:)

Unfortunately no. I like yours better, since it means that Destiny can fly back to earth in relatively short order - or at least the people can gate home off it fairly easily and they can make the show more interesting.

I realize this is a joke, but it would be so much better than SGU. SGU is the real joke.

I think I just saw Daniel Jackson in an SGU preview on Sci Fi. This could become really cool.

Atlantis was just an ancient outpost in the pegasus galaxy.

this is like saying... check the air force base in the West Indies. I'm sure it has the nuclear launch codes.

Do we actually know the timeline difference between the Destiny and Atlantis build dates?

I just watch for the soldier with the huge yabbos (don't say you don't). I wonder how she made it through basic with her plastic surgeon in tow?;)

not totally.

Atlantis was built millions of years ago by the Ancients. The city resided in Antarctica on Earth until five to ten million years ago, when a deadly plague prompted the Ancients to relocate it to the Pegasus galaxy.

Stargate Universe is set aboard the Ancient ship Destiny, a massive vessel which was part of an Ancient experiment to seed the galaxies with Stargates millions of years ago. Their plan to return to the ship after it finished its journey never came about due to their ascension.

it seems like they occurred in a similar time frame.

but then again "millions of years ago" is quite relative.

So then why did you make this assumption?

huh? i didn't make any assumption.

everyone is saying "check atlantis... it probably has all the codes for Destiny" .. assuming that Atlantis even knew about Destiny... and they were even around during the same time frame.

i was pointing out that Atlantis wasn't anything major. It was just an outpost.
