If you'd played the game (which you couldn't have) you'd know he does smoke in cut scenes. Tycus (sp?) does as well.

I'm trying to remember - did he smoke cigs in any of the cut scenes? I know he was smoking a cigar, and in one cut scene he's about to smoke a cigarette... but doesn't... I don't remember him actually lighting a cigarette (which I know, fine distinction- but this thread is about cigs isn't it?)

In at least one cut scene he has a cig. He even goes as far as to throw it at Tycus. This is near the end (right before the last few missions). And, besides, the fact that he has a pack in his sleeve proves he's a bad ass. Only badasses wear that.

OP, they're just showing how "tough" and "gritty" he is. They went non-PC, which is actually refreshing these days.

It is more Like Blizzard is advertising for Phillips Morris, they sure went through a lot of trouble to make sure that pack of Marlboro on Raynod's left arm stands out in every cutscene.

"show how tough and gritty he is?"

The never show Raynod smoke in the games, just that pack of Marlboro stuck to his left arm.

wrong. he smokes at several points in the game.

edit: wwybywb?

Seriously??? People complaining about smoking in video games??? Some of you really need to grow up and worry about more important things in life.

I don't see the OP complaining about smoking in video games. He just made an observation on it and wondered what everyone's opinion was. But I see that PC Gaming Forum has gone the way of Fox News.

But people are complaining about it. The whole "good guys can't smoke" crap has been in movies for years. Smoking has gone the way of porn long ago: everyone hates it in public but partakes in private.

If the Girls Gone Wild videos are any indication, thats not true at all. Public exposure and fucking are much more acceptable than tobacco.

Oh, come on. Stop being such a dramatic baby.

I never see hot, naked girls in public.

However, I see lots of smokers everyday.

I don't know what streets you're hanging out on, but where I am, I see them like every two or three blocks. You don't have hot naked girls working poles on the streets where you are?
