I got my new Logitech G700 mouse today... I'm thinking about setting up the 4 side buttons to emulate the arrow keys in SC2. That way I never have to shift over to them while in the game . Only question now is in what sort of design do I use to implement it... a 'X' design (lop-sided directional) or top is left/right or up/down and bottom set is whatever I didn't use on top.

Hmm :hmm:

Alright reading these posts, I think I know where the confusion lies. When it says custom, it means in multiplayer on the right, there's the create custom game button, not the custom option once you're in the game lobby. You have to do these under multiplayer, I guess not VS AI option in the SP page.

Not in my case. I didn't even know there was a VS AI option in the SP Page.

My process was this:

Click the Multi Player tab.
Click create a game under "Custom Games"
Scroll to Lava Flow
Double-click
Change mode to FFA
Add AI to fill teams
Change difficulty to Insane
Start
Win
No Achievement =(

Hmm....the only other thing I can think of is that you were not connected to b.net, or that achievements were disabled.

Did you use any cheats in single player? I have no idea whether if you used a cheat in the campaign if it will affect obtaining achievements in MP.

Never cheated, maybe there was a problem with the b.net connection. Going to try again tonight

Can someone with a GTX 470/480 and someone with an ATi equivalent level check their FPS while displaying a large Protoss power grid? I'm getting awful lag with a 260, 1920x1200, any settings - none of the benchmark sites really touch on that. Thanks.

I can check when I get home, running a 5830 so it should be comparable.

EDIT: Checked

Grid on

GridOff

as you can see in the screen shots having a pylon selected with max supply of pylons on screen (may have missed a few) my fps is pretty much halved. It's in the top left, goes from around 75 to 35. I'm running everything on ultra, 1920x1080.

Got it this time. Only thing I can think of is the connection to the achievement server was bad, or the fact that I used a pause the first time and not the second.

you must construct additional pylons

Geez, it seems like half the people playing are totally rude, no gg when they lose! granted, i'm in the bronze league but still its quite annoying..not only that, these people don't give in when you beat them, they make you hunt them down on the map..

anyone else experience this???

If you're floating CCs away on the map, that's lame, but I have no issue with people that don't say gg. I could care less.

I don't usually say GG since it usually wasn't. Just because I beat someone or they beat me doesn't a good game it make!

If I'm playing you, I'm not likely to throw up a "gg", mainly because it's not necessary and I don't care. I also will never quit when I know I've been beat, you'll have to destroy all of my stuff, but I won't try to run away and make it take longer.

Another thing about Tychus, at a point during the game, Jim figures out that Tychus has a kill switch in his suit so he has to figure there's someone pulling his string. But he doesn't seem to take any precaution against him. It's possible that he did something off screen that we didn't know about that manages to save Tychus. Though the game does say he's dead.

They could easily bring him back though.

"Tychus! But I thought you were dead."

"I have never tasted death, Jimmy, but that is a tale for another time."

I almost always say gg when I lose, but for some reason i HAAATE it when someone preemptively says gg when they are winning.

Also, it is pretty annoying when your oppening sneaks a worker out and makes a hatch/nexus in some random place, or if they fly their buildings away, but a lot of people do it for no good reason.

grid on, how do you do that?
gameplay options? or just select a pylon?

i do it all the time to piss ppl off. i like to do it as i march into their base after i've scouted with a scan/overlord/detector and i know i have the upper hand.
glad that it's working.

there is an actual gameplay option that turns on the build grid. I don't know if that's what the other posters were asking for though.

The grid option shows you the squares of space that buildings take up when being placed/built.
