Starcraft 2 being used to determine if you're over the hill

The more you suck the more it can also determine if you have a life, job, significant other etc too

Where as the better you are could show us that you don't pay a mortgage, live at home still and don't have a job.

Can't wait for the results

Starcraft 2 is one of, if not the most hardest yet popular game out right now. That game is so intense. I been playing it pretty frequently for one week and it is so exhausting mentally after one game.

The game not only requires fast thinking tactics, but also motor and manual dexterity to execute those tactics.

Very intense. Lots of clicking and fast thinking.

Definitely a game to keep your mind sharp.

I recently started and then stopped playing Dota 2 for various reasons, and my conclusion is that Dota 2 and LoL are for gamers who suck at SC2's macro and just want to micro. But the macro part of the game is what makes SC2, SC2!

Playing SC2 is like loading your brain up with Furmark, it stress-tests you. To be good, you have to be able to multitask like mad for macro and keep a strategy in mind AND react to what the other guy is building. Plus have good map awareness, reaction time, and sense of timing. All this IN ADDITION to being good at micro.

Yea.. I tend to think good players that have high APM (200+) have sharp and fast brains.

More than brain speed is experience. While you and I have to think about what to do in certain situations, for them it's reflex. It's similar to other athletes that practice enough that most of the game in played on autopliot.

Sc2 is impossible. I was masters for a few seasons towards the end of WoL and beginning of HOTS but now I'm basically platinum since I play only a few games per season.

If you don't keep up on the metagame and consistently practice you will fall rapidly. My mechanics alone are still probably good enough to keep me platinum, but anyone with similar or slightly worse mechanics that knows what they are doing strategy wise can crush me.

Oh and also, anything below high masters is basically considered terrible. I mean, platinum is a complete joke in the big picture.

Thanks for making me feel bad jerk. <BronzeForever*>

*Other than when HOTS first came out and the ladder was inflated.

"most hardest"?

Methinks you need something more than SC2 to sharpen that mind
