coffee bean does a superior iced coffee, but it's $2.99 for a large and the cup feels smaller than a venti. CB also charges $1 for refills, but has better ice than SB.

when I do go someplace and order an ice coffee or even a soda I always ask for 1/2 the ice they normally put in, ive been doing this for like a decade

If you slam 7 espressos every morning .... well ... shit. Not -quite- espresso (not pressurized), but I would recommend a 6C moka pot in your situation. That's a hell of a lot for one person though. Are your teeth the color of charcoal?

I drink about 30-40oz of ice coffee every day (by volume, including ice...); when I'm really tired then I do 7 shots of espresso instead.

All fast food places put too much ice in the drinks. This way they save money on the over priced item you are actually wanting to drink. Like soda syrup is really cheap for the store and they charge you well over $1.25 or so for a soda. Now some stores, like Wendys or Panera Bread, they provide the cup and you fill it yourself, including picking how much, if any, ice you want in it.

As others have mentioned, simply request light on ice or even no ice. I have yet to see any store that doesn't honor such requests.

Which is pretty funny considering that the cost of the syrup used in soft drinks is so low at that purchase volume that they might be saving at most a penny or two by making the drink almost all ice. But they still do it because a penny saved on a billion drinks served adds up to real money.

I should clarify for those that may not get it: I am actually referring to the taste, which, for Starbucks, is predominantly "burned," and not the physical act of being burned by coffee.
