I noticed that too, someone mentions "girl" and he goes all apeshit. Im thinking he knows something about her, but I dont think she knows anything about him.

Uh, you two don't think there might have been something else he might have been upset about in that statement? 😵

Are those things for real? That's awesome if they work.

Yes, they work. Passive 3D technology works by displaying two different images at different polarizations -- one for the left eye, one for the right eye. What happens is that you're wearing glasses that are polarized for the specific eye's image. How do you stop that? Just wear a pair of glasses that are only polarized for one eye. If you really want them, just look for something like LG DualPlay glasses on Amazon. LG's DualPlay technology was a way to turn split-screen gaming into dual full-screen by converting top-bottom 3D (i.e. top-bottom split screen that we're used to) into a screen per player. Unfortunately, it was only ever featured fully in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. You can do it in anything, but only games designed for it will make the menus work properly.

I recall that Wipeout HD on PS3 supported it and they marketed the feature on the 3D PlayStation-themed Sony gaming TV.

Watch the scene again. He's pissed that the droid escaped, then when the dude tells him that a girl helped him, he FREAKS out and chokes the dude. And asks "what girl?" It seems that the droid escaping is a bad thing, but being helped by a girl on Jakuuu is the icing on the cake.

Come on, man. Don't encourage him. It's probably some guy being paid to maintain forum accounts to sell to guerrilla marketers.

I don' even understand the point of that gif -- is there supposed to be one?
None of them do. IIRC, he's posted hundreds. Since the movie released he's always just dumping them here and never responds to the people asking him about them. Before that he was just linking reviews and articles. I genuinely think he's a shill being paid to fake forum activity at various forums to keep accounts active.

So I finally watched this today.

8/10 for nostalgia (so many references/quotes from the old movies)
7/10 overall

Is it just me or is TFA basically A New Hope X Empire Strikes Back?

But hey at least the VFX was good - reading the credits was like reading the first LOTR book

The whole movie felt like disney was all like "Ok JJ, this is the first in a series so don't muck it up for us, play it safe and don't take too many chances... hell, just regurgitate the original plot.

Glad it wasn't just me.
