Before you guys trash the guy, he has been in other movies and some of the critics have applaud his performances in those movies.

We all know Natalie Portman can act but Star Wars didn't exactly showcase her acting skills either.

i saw a movie on HBO where he played a journalist and he was surprisingly really good.

I just don't think its possible to show your acting skills with the star wars material

"I don't find Hollywood interesting, so I'm thinking about studying architecture instead."

Either he knows that he can't make it in Hollywood or he is dumb enough to make a statement like that which will kill off his career.

agreed 100% ( i refuse to say "QFT" anymore)
Please show me ONE peson, out of the pile of VERY talented actors in the series, that performed well with the material in front of them?

Samuel L? Nope - great actor
Portman? Nope - great actress
McGregor? Nope - great actor
the lsit goes on and on.
Only one that was CLOSE to turning in a good performance was Ian McDiarmid.

Hayden takes the beating becuase everyone has VERY little material except the trilogy to base their opinion off of.

Im not saying he IS good, but I will not judge him off the trilogy (actually 2 movies)

Can't make it in Hollywood? Starring in Star Wars and Shattered Glass along with having a good role in Life As a House is a great way to fail then.

Aside from being a SW fan, the movie guy in me is once again disappointed in you. What is succeeding in your mind? Jessica Alba? (She is hot though, no worries there)

Yeah, the guy who was also in Trainspotting was pretty good as well. Also, that guy who was in Moulin Rouge. What was his name again?

I think he shares the same name as the guys that did the voice for the lead in Robots, Ed Bloom in "Big Fish" and Catcher Block in "Down With Love" too...

Is it wrong that I enjoy being a walking IMDB? I try, at least.

WTF, why would George Lucas even need to work after making all that money?
Fixed.
How much did Hayden Christensen really make off of the movie? He wasn't a big name actor when he signed up.
that's called quitting while you're ahead... in a way it's cool because he realized he can't act his way out of a paper bag, so instead of going the way of mark hamill he's actually going to do something else w/ his life
He's not considered a bad actor, is he?
Mark Hamill? The guy who ended up pimping computers on one of those half-hour paid-programming commercials? He's probably a nice guy, so I won't be too mean, but Christensen is by far a better actor, and much better looking too.
