As more reviews pour in it looks like Lucas has given SW fans the movie they have been waiting for..I am so jacked to see this!!
Rotten tomatoes
note the 2 reviewers that gave it rotten tomatoes favored artsy films and comic book movies..one of which gave spiderman 2, 4 out of 4 stars..wtf??

Bonus footage for fanboys like me.

When are people going to realize that these movies weren't made to have stellar acting or story lines? Episodes 4-6 had horrible acting as well with stupid annoying characters. It was the effects that made these movies so great. The majority of adults complaining about the new ones were just kids when the originals came out and too young to care about bad acting/storys.

I will go and look at the movie, as I saw the first two prequels. What I really liked were the original three episodes (but I was much younger then). I still like them, but not so much

Might be true for Mark Hamil but not for the rest of the cast!

I couldn't agree with you more. My parents thought the originals were complete nonsense.

Reading the book. So far the story is about as good as any of the original series. I doubt it's worst than I - II. I am excited to see it.

C'mon. A good actor can't make up for bad lines. "Laugh it up, fuzzball"???? Harrison Ford did the best he could but it was far far far from Oscar worthy. And that line came from what many consider to be the best from the three movies.

His best line (although I didn't think it fit the script very well) was "I'll see you in Hell" when he goes out looking for Luke.

No, his best line was in the carbon freeze room when Leia says, "I love you," and he responds, "I know."

Improvised, I believe.

yup, the line in the script went 'i love you too,' completely out of character for han. harrison ford changed it.

Would it have been better if he said "I'll see you on hellooine!!"

I'd forgotten about that one.

Still...his acting wasn't any better than old Rob Roy what's his name...too lazy to search.

Jar Jar wasn't any worse than the Ewoks. Samuel L. Jackson isn't even that great in these. Lando was terrible, Jabba was rediculous, need I go on? I was 5 when Star Wars came out. They were the coolest movies ever...to me then. My son is now 7 and they are the coolest to him now. They're for kids.

Star Wars is alright, but I think the hype has outlasted what it should have really been. They really aren't that "epic" anymore...I mean you can't deny LOTR gave it a darn good run for best muti-film series every made.

Bleh, spoilers. We all know what happens.

I expect it to be better than EP1 & 2, but the movies today will never touch the magic that was EP 4-6.

I think Ford made up that fuzzball line (I got a laugh out of it...thought it worked great!)

Currently 100% at RottenTomatoes, but only with 5-6 reviews. I wonder how long that will last?

Question: Does this movie deal with whom's ass Yoda kicked on Dagoba?
