But honestly, I think the thing that made me jump with glee was that smuggler/hustler guy from Clone Wars making it in Rebels. He's awesome.
That was Shaak'Ti's apprentice, wasn't it?

any way to watch this without having cable?
Yes. iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/tv-season/star-wars-rebels-vol.-1/id920938545

no.
Dread Disney-ification

yet couldn't be worse than the abonomation of the 2nd "newer" movies (jar jar binks, the horrendiously INCOMPETENT bad "actor" Hayden Christensen(who is not a worth actor but in fact is merely a pretentious egomaniacle little boy - GET THAT IDIOT OFF THE STAGE!!!, etc)

If the ultra-genius (OMG - approaching 25& of near God-like Nikola Tesla-level) mighty brilliant Joseph Campbell had still lived and advised producers on scripts, those horrendously,
BAD, BAD BAD BAD BAD
2nd sequence of movies would've been worthy. BAD!!!! STINKY!!!

Plain truth is the 2nd series of 3 movies are utter shit, only good for Mystery Science 3000 riffs. Rank right down there with Manos hands of fate....B OOOOOO. admission price was theft!! BOOOO.

Yep, but then the "best star wars news in years" happened and disney bought it out. Clone wars gutted, episode arcs axed mid production, Star Wars Rebels' budget slashed to tighten the profit margins for gee golly whiz stoopid kids that surely won't notice the difference etc. Thanks, Disney. You know a lot of people like to rage on George. But at least he always pushed the envelope. He would never leave arcs unfinished or chalk up technical work as cheap "good enough" tier graphics to save a buck.

Didn't they wrap up things in the Netflix episodes in January? Some stuff was left open for continuation in the new Rebels series. Truthfully Clones Wars wasn't as successful as they hoped, so they scaled it back with Rebels so they could justify a new show. Something is better than nothing.

Other than the art, I thing the voice actors are just fine. In CW, I always though the guy voicing Obi Wan was trying to do a bad Ringo Starr impression 🙂

They gave the episodes that were finished or ony needed minor work to netflix. The second half or so of the season was mostly incomplete but they released the storyboards and some other stuff to give you and idead of the plot somewhere, can't recall at the moment without a search.

Barriss Offee was Luminara Unduli's apprentice.

Things didn't end well for them. Barris was manipulated by Sidious into becoming his pawn and dark jedi.

And things ended even worse for poor Luminara...

Lupi is correct. Although some Clone Wars episodes were JUST released.

They are unfinished, but you can get the gist of it. You can clearly tell they were right in the middle of production when the house of mouse brought the axe down like a bastard. I could understand it if they didn't want to do a whole other season because of ratings. But it would have been nice if they could have at least have wrapped the season they were on. 🙁

thx!

anyway to download it?
chrome extension not working

my firefox ones aren't working either
finished it.
the bad batch arc was much better than then draft Crystal story reel from last year.

Crystal arc:
good guys steal a shuttle and being chased by Grevious.
they are chased into the enemy fleet but only a couple of fighters come help Grevious?!
theres normally hundreds of fighters w/a fleet.

and that shuttle was hit a bazillion times more than a star destroyer but didn't explode?
*sigh* 😡

Sheesh all these episodes wasting time with clones hi-jinx and they still didn't even finish the arc with Darth Maul?! That was left unresolved from season 5. Our "closure" came in the form of a comic book. You'd think wrapping up an unresolved storyline would have taken precedence over the more throwaway arcs like this. Not that I'm complained about having more clone wars, no matter the shape of the episodes.

It was Billy! Boy this episode had everything. And while Ian didn't reprise his role, the voice of the emperor was so good I could have sworn it was the real deal. Far and away better than clone wars. (although I still think the world of Tim Curry as a VA it just wasn't a good fit for him) The plot armor was high in this episode it seemed. The entire time I was thinking Vader could kill them easily. But then it came apparent he let them go to allow them to lead him to the rest of the rebels, which was a proven Imperial tactic as seen in the original movie. And now that Vader knows about Asoka things are only going to get MORE interesting moving forward. I can't wait.

I just wish the Minister hadn't been killed off as she seemed to be the sort of an inbetween character with a little more depth than the usual all good or all evil you see these days.
