no.. that's different. phantom edit is not the same as "Phantom Menace" or, i didn't think it was. If it is, feel free to lock this up. (as if i needed to say that) 😉

Some dumbfvck edited the Phantom Menace and voiced over Jar Jar with a voice like he had balls and without funny/stupid lines, and made Anakin sound not like a kid, but supposedly more like a Sith Lord to be.

It pissed off Lucas and now it's all over the 'Net.

The Phantom Edit that I saw didn't have new voiceovers, just some stuff was cut. Useless stuff for the most part.

Only 2 good things about that movie: duel of the fates and pod race....oh and natalie portman. Yum 😀
 
Now that sounds interesting.
I really hope Episode II makes up for all the suffering caused by the 1st release.
It was bearable but could have been sooo much... well enough of that🙁
 
I don't know about Episode 2. I am really debating if I will even spend my money and go see it in the theaters. The movie looks too much like a crappy teen love story movie. Can't stand that crap.

Meh...Episode 2 looks interesting enough. I honestly think it'll be better than TPM. I'll be there opening night. The only thing that makes me cry is the acting in those trailers 🙁

well from what I've heard it's not going to be a sappy love story...they introduce Christopher Lee (I believe) as a new sith(sp?) and Samuel Jackson is supposed to have a very extensive battle scene w/ him... it also goes thru how Anakin is turned over to the dark side...they go thru the clone wars Master Yoda has a big battle scene...and Anakin saves a whole wave of his comrade fighter pilots by allowing them to escape and ultimately is literally surrounded in space by the groups that will join forces to create the Federation...this battle is where Anniken is assumed to have died saving his fellow pilots. but the evil emperor finds his quote "lifeless" unquote body , bringing him back to life on the dark side

There's two versions of the Phantom Edit Westcoast (which you saw) and Eastcoast which has new voice overs.

i found a copy of it. 🙂 now i just need to find the time to watch it... how do you tell if it's the west coast or eastcoast version? So far i haven't noticed any voice overs, just cut scenes.
 
In the West version there are just cut scenes, in the East version Jar Jar and the Nemoydians<sp?> voices have been replaced w/"alien" voices, and subtitles have been added so you know what they are saying.
