Star Wars Lego help.

This is on the Wii but I'm not sure if other consoles have this game.

My son plays this game and he's stuck in an area and doesn't know what to do.

I don't play it so I'll try and describe the best I can.

I think it's Anikin in some kind of a pod racer. There doesn't seem to be a gun on the pod , all he can do is fly it. There's alot of these green arrow things you fly over and when you do, you go faster. At some point there is a ramp up to your right but it has some kind of barricade. I assume something has to be done in this level to open a path to the ramp. So, since you can't go up the ramp you just keep going in a continuous loop. He's tried, I've tried. I have no ideas what to do.

I know it's a long shot but does anyone know?

And why on earth is there not a "save" option in this game. He plays for 30 minutes to an hour every once in a while but always starts off where he did the time before.

The game automatically saves every time you finish a level/area and go back to the Cantina. You can't save while inside a level.

Do you have the "Trilogy" version of the game, or the "Complete Saga" version that has all six episodes in the same game?

If you have the Trilogy version, you advance in the Pod Race by reaching the checkpoint before the timer runs out. If you don't beat the timer, you have to do the same lap over again. If you have the Complete Saga version, you need to beat Sebulba to the finish line to complete the level. The fact that he just keeps going in a loop makes it sound like you have the Trilogy version, in which case he needs to complete each of the checkpoints before the timer runs out.

That ramp to the side leads to a part of the bonus kit for the level. You don't have to go there unless you want to complete all of the kits. I believe you can only get there in Free Play mode anyway, but I can't remember for sure.

Thanks Fardringle

It is The Complete Saga version. Forgive me but what is a Sebulba? I don't see anything else trying to race with us? At the very start there are some things over on the side that shoot at us but nothing else flying around.

I'm wondering if I'm just not describing the level good enough.

It also has these craters near the end right before the ramps. I think they slow you down a bit when you go over them. And then when you can't take a right and go up the ramp you go through a darkish tunnel with jagged rocks, etc. and then it just loops back around to the beginning.

Also, I have seen numerous times where it says Level Complete but theres always an option to continue or something else. He always chooses continue. Would the "something else" be the cantina?

Thanks so much for your help.

Sebulba is the alien character you are racing against.

When you finish a level you have the option to continue (ie go to the next level without stopping) or go to the cantina to go back to another level, or to spend some points to unlock characters and such.

Thanks gorcorps. But that's just it, I don't see anyone that he is racing against. There's no other pods or flying things around.

Since nothing was saved I'll pay closer attention when he gets to that level next time and I'll make sure to go to the Cantina after every "Level Complete" so he doesn't have to play the same things over and over and over.

The option to continue the pod racing level is to allow you to try to pick up collectible items (minikit parts) that are strewn around the race course that you get by running over them. Going back to the cantina is almost certainly what you want to do.
