I cancelled my subscription yesterday. Not because I didn't like the game, nor because I have any problem with paying $15/month for access to a game like that.

Ultimately I could tell getting too deep into SWG would be disruptive of my work and my social life, which are both going very well relative to past years. That, in my opinion, is the unacceptable price.

I do, however, have a little more sympathy for the "Evercrack" addicts out there. I can easily see how it could happen.

Exploring the SWG planets (I'm sure I saw less than 1/20th of what was out there) and trying out the lower tier skills was a lot of fun. I'm still curious how the player economy will turn out, but it seemed to work fine during the startup phase for my purposes. Mastering an elite skill tree without taking advantage of some fast xp exploit looked like a pretty time consuming task. Time I don't have. Compared to many single player games I have paid for in recent years, I definitely feel I got my money's worth.

I got the game on it's way for me. Couldn't find any in town so had to order online. It'll be my first MMORPG and figured this would be a good one to start with since I like Star Wars a lot.

After the horrors of yesterday's lagging (Bria Server, Sunday), I am almost a Master Scout and Master Marksman. I haven't decided whether I will go for Master Squad Leader, Bounty Hunter, or Creature Handler 🙂

Hard to say, as there are impending nerfs for both the BH and CH classes, it sounds like. I was working towards Pikeman, but have decided to go the route of Teras Kasi Artist, at least for now. I am hanging onto my levels in Pikeman for the moment though, in case they decide to fix it so it is up to par with the rest of the Brawler classes.
