Alright, so who's gonna get into SWG here? I'm picking it up from EB tomorrow - two days early. I don't think i'll have too much time to play it this summer, but i should be able to get in at least an hour a day. Would be great if i had some people to play with though, so why don't we all arrange to meet up on a particular server?

I'm still debating on whether to get it or not. I was in beta 3 and I like the game, but I'm not going to have much time at all to play it. Add to that the $15 a month that it costs and it's an even tougher decision.

ehh, i got burnt out on UO, kinda burnt out on MMORPGs in general. I'm going to pick up diablo 2 again I think tho.

I'm getting it. A friend owes me a gift for when I gave him all my magic cards, so I told him to get get SWG. I'll let you know when I get it.

Are you going to be rebel or empire?

I learned my lesson about early adoption of MMORPGs with World War II Online. I'll give SW:G 6 months to a year before I look at it. Currently enjoying myself in DAoC.

im so sick of MMORPGs... they need to make planetside not suck.

i'll have it by thursday or friday. i dont know yet if i want to be aligned with the alliance, empire, or maybe neither.

I was in beta 3, and I played it for maybe a week.
It is not really that distinct of a MMORPG. You still have to kill dozens of rats. I didn't really enjoy it that much.
Don't get your hopes up for this game. I'm sure some people will love it, but I will not be picking up this game.

This thing is so not ready for store shelves, yet they're putting it out there. Like I said, I was beta as well.

I was in the beta for about 5 months and at the end it was no more buggy than Eve-Online, AC2 or DAOC were when they were released. It's WAY more stable than AO was on release - not that that's saying anything. Generally if you have standard hardware you shouldn't have much of a problem with CTD's.

To get back on topic though, I'll be on chilastra with a mon cal weaponsmith and starsider with a BH/CT hybrid. I'll use the handle AgentDib on both.
