I know there are a bunch of threads about this...but I'm so effing excited that I want to start my own thread where as much news and thoughts go as possible.

WOOHOO! It's another Star Wars movie! Some people who've seen it rank it above Return of the Jedi, right behind A New Hope. Even non-Star Wars fans and fans not necessarily fond of the sci-fi section of movies say it rocks.

This is a sign I've been hoping for. After 3 more years, it's coming back! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSS!!!!

I'd actually say after 19 more years, it's coming back. TPM sucked so badly that I'd rather not even think of it as a part of the series. :|

That being said, I am looking forward to this movie.

If Darth Maul and Ray Park's amazing skills had no been in the movie, it would rank somewhere around Disney status, IMHO. 🙁

But yes, 19 years after the last amazing Star Wars movie. I'm very excited.

For what's it worth most of the cast of the Howard Stern show said it's good, it's beautiful, but not as good as Spiderman.

Apparently Yoda gets his groove on in this one though.

My feelings exactly. I was SO amped up for Episode One that we actually flew to Los Angeles (from Hawaii) to see it at some of my favorite theaters there... What a MAJOR disappointment. I also block out (mentally) a lot of ROTJ -- that's where Lucas began to go astray IMO.

I *hope* -- but am protecting myself from further heartbreak -- that Episode 2 will at least strive to be as awesome as ESB!
 
Speaking of Wookie's, why can't Star Wars have any GOOD comic relief like that anymore? Not any of this Jar Jar crap. Chewie was awesome.
 
Yes, episode 2 promises to be good but I suppose most people thought that TPM would be also. It is funny how much hype is surrounded around this issue, perhaps we have too high of standards for Lucas. That siad, I thibk that Lucas should just redo TPM. He would know exactly how to change it so it would be much better. Financially it would have backing, and then we could all have a Jar-Jar burning party 😀
 
I would imagine it has to be pretty good.. It looks like there is alot more action. Yoda kicks some tail and....drum roll please...

Jango Fett! We get to see Bobas dad.

Plus little Anakin gets closer to his inner self. Come on Darth Vader.

I'm really pumped for this. It looks like there is a lot of action,saber fights, and what not. Like ANH,ESB and RotJ, E2 is going to be the "dark" movie of the 3 part series like ESB was. And most people liked ESB out of the first 3 that came out so I would imaging that those of us that like the dark side of the SW universe will enjoy AotC as well.

Friend of mine read the book and said if the movie is anything like it then it is going to kick some major, MAJOR ass. This from a guy that hates TPM.
 
I really don't care how the movie does in the box office. All I care about is whether I like it. I can't wait 😀
 
The way I see it since E2 ran a trailer before the Spider Man flick every one that went to go see SM had to have seen the action of E2 and got at least a little curious about it. Even the people who hated E1.

Spiderman got the record but it will be short lived. 🙂
