Star Wars - Episode II Official Movie Poster released!

<< hmm... kinda looks like every other starwars poster i'v seen >>

Yeah yeah yeah, git outta here, Dildo Bagless or whoever you are. 😛 😀

<< definitely follows that late 70's movie poster trend! (i.e. it fits well with the others!) >>

I suppose I agree. It seems to blend well....

I can't wait for the day I can sit down and watch all the movies, start to finish, from my neat little Special Edition Star Wars DVD set starting at The Phantom Menace and, of course, finishing with Return of the Jedi! 😀😀

It does...I'm sure collectors are *very* happy 🙂

<< I hope he changes back to the original plan and does 7,8, and 9. >>

I believe Lucas has stated many times that there will be no 7, 8, and/or 9. 🙁

<< But on a serious note, where are the digital theaters? has he anouncced yet? >>

I posted about this a while back. It won't be shown digitally either at all or in very limited release. They projected to have about 3,000 theaters converted to digital, but only have about 150.

<< crap
so, maybe by the third installment they will ahve digital theaters?
>>

The way the movie theater industry is going, probably not. It's very expensive to switch and they are hurting a great deal. The studios won't pay for it, so there's really no one else to foot the bill for it.

I'd say it'll be a long while before enough theaters are digital for there to be a digital-only release.

He said that after Episode III, he wants to take about 20 years off in retirement. After that, if he's not dead, he'll write 7, 8 and 9.

Methinks it's not gonna happen.
🙂

😀

Looks very nice.

As for the digital theaters, barely any are equipped. But I'm lucky that one of the 3 theaters in Canada that are equipped is in my home town!

I am kinda iffy at the whole digital thing though...I mean, it's a great technology but I think lucas should've waited longer. I'm not sure how good it'll look blown up on some of the more massive screens out there. Reason? AOTC was shot at a resolution of 1440x800!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is just pathetic...film's resolution is about four times that amount. It'll look good on DVD, but I am not sure about theaters....

Well, the digital will be the best format to view it in.
Transfering it to film won't increase the resolution any.
It will be interesting to see how well it compares to film.
