Star Wars Episode 7 cast announced

I have this strange feeling that this is going to end terribly. I kind of wish they would have just ditched the old cast entirely and started with something completely new. Oh well, I'm sure I will still end up seeing it at some point.

I've never heard of any of these new guys. I am glad Disney is giving the old cast a job though, it isn't like anyone except Ford has done anything of note after Star Wars.

He's awesome. I like Adam Driver and Oscar Issac too, but not sure how they will work here. If the script is good, then I am sure they will be fine. Andy Serkis is always good.

Cast does not matter, i didn't know any of the Star Trek folks either, but after the whole movie was put togather, it turned out to be pretty good.

YES, I like the movie and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the lens flare. :colbert:
 
You know, the whole "nothing new based on the old is going to be any good" crowd. It's Hollywood entertainment. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy it in the way the director means us all to. Sheesh

Had to google Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker. Since they're hidden by their costume, they could have been played by someone else and we would barely notice.

I never said that; I have no problem with remakes, or sequels way after the fact, I just think this particular one does not sound great based on what they have released so far. /shrug

I thought peter mayhew was so screwed up because of his size that he can't even walk anymore. Perhaps chewbacca will be like professor X in these upcoming movies.
