Star Wars is one franchise that has definately gone to hell. I will be surprised if Ep. 3 brings it back to life.

Considering that I would expect better writing even from a 7-year-old than the dialog in Episode 2, I must conclude that MadTV were right when they portrayed Lucas as a lunatic with delusions of grandeur.
