This could have the best script ever and still suck due to Hayden's acting skill being just one stip above Keanu Reeves.
I expect something more like "Man, we need shotguns for this kinda work" (ripped from Pulp Fiction)

Phantom Menace was as George Lucas wanted it to be....
to me, a great fan of star wars (not in a geeky way, but in a revering way), it wasnt anything compared to the originals, but it was a good film in a general sense. More for kids tho.
Attack of the Clones...
A compromise by George Lucas, the SW Universe still more to his ideal, but altered a little to win back some of the fanbase....not quite up to the SW standard from a fan point of view, but better than TPM and a very good film aside from its SW roots.
Episode III
Still a compromise, but far more fan biased now i think, and from the trailers looks to carry a seriously dark look to it, which should rival that of Empire Strikes Back. Could have crap moments, but i get the feeling it will redeem Lucas in his fans eyes a reasonable amount, and as a film in its own right will be very good.
Lets also remember that in a way the original trilogy are crap films if you were not around to watch them/play with the toys originally, or were not a fan of Sci-Fi....they were done on relatively low budgets for what they were trying to accomplish, no digital effects, and the acting in some cases was questionable. But to us that saw them light years ago, they are wonderful because we remember them through the rose tinted glasses of youth.....to those youngsters that watch them today, well, be honest, most would just laugh at the effects and stop watching.
i will finish on this note, regardless of your views on the new episodes, they are ALL better than Terminator 3...hehe....that film defines the word atrocious (i think i spelled it right..lol)

It will suck. The last 2 sucked. Lucas just wants the money. He added all that crap the Ep 4-6 and he just plain made crap with Ep 1 and 2.

I'd love to see YOU make a better movie, write a better script, act better, write a better dialogue sequence, etc. better than Lucas. It's just like with women. Most of the people here bitch about how fugly women are if they're not airbrushed when they've never been able to get a date in their lives. :roll:

I agree with this part. Lucas should have left 4 -6 exactly the same. Luckily I have the originals on VHS when they were first released. I also have the THX versions and also nthe DVD versions that came out last year. When episode 3 get released on DVD, I am going to have me a star wars mega marathon all day!!!
I'm sort of planning that this week. Going to watch Episode 1, 2, and Clone Wars before I see the midnight showing of 3. Then watch 4, 5, and 6 later that day.

you go to watch an action move for the action. if you guys want good acting, go watch a drama or something. By the looks of this trailer, I'm pretty sure, it will continue the trend of SW: Ep 2, which should be fairly faithful to the original, but still leave room for the diehard fans to nitpick.
