Looking forward to it, but what I really want is a new version of Tie Fighter.

oooh, me too. I played through Tie figher so many freaking times. I usually had more empire kills than rebel kills 🙂

tie fighter was by far the best star wars flight sim... gotta love the emprie 😀

Hmmm, it looks pretty cool. Then again, every star wars game has looked cool, and almost every one except Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 and Knights of the Old Republic has sucked.

I enjoyed Jedi Academy too....

Never played it, so I couldn't comment on it. I heard it was good though.

I thought X-Wing Alliance held that title for me. Some great missions in that game.

Is this kind of like Star Wars Rebellion

Hopefully it's much better than Rebellion was. I liked that game, it just gets a little too clunky after a while and it drives you nuts.

Rebellion was OK for the SW fanatic..multiplay only, Then There were many other attempts to make a SW RTS, they all have sucked, and I don't know that this game will be any better.

I've only played the demo for a few minutes, but both me and another friend that's a SW nut think it's pretty weak. I'll play the game through and see though.

I keep getting anhialated in the ground mission on Tatooine, does anyone have any tips? All my units (rebels and friendlys) are all immediately attacked. When I try to move my rebels, there are those gigantic laser towers that kill all my guys. Help!

This is just proof that the people at Lucasarts are idiots. Honestly, if they took Tie Fighter and re-released it with updated graphics and maybe a bonus mission or two, it'd sell like hot cakes. You'd get all the fanboys buying it (like they do with all star wars games) and you'd get all of the real flight-sim fans that can recognize that Tie Fighter was actually really good! Unfortunately, Lucas would probably want to change a bunch of the levels and completely fvck it up, but think of how awesome it would be to play the original Tie Fighter with an updated graphics engine 🙂

Another example of game company idiocy is Square making a sequel to FFX but not FFVII or even FFVI. It's pretty obvious that FFVII was one of their best titles. If they rereleased FFVII with updated graphics, it'd be immensely popular. It was released in the PSX days, now I'm CERTAIN that they could update the graphics to utilize the PS2 hardware. Advent children was the second worst thing to happen to that franchise.

Haha all I have to say if you can't beat the demo you arn't thinking hard enough!
Could it be you skimped out on the tutorial? My roommate did and was begging me to help him, but I knew he would probably destroy the empire in 2 or 3 attacks.
Anyways, this game looks great and I am looking foward to it.
Probably won't hit up multiplayer as I am never that good in RTS games for some reason.
