Star Wars beyond ROTJ

I read a shit ton of the books when I was younger. They all had the same plot line though so I stopped.

Not that it had to be this way. Lucas had the option of not churning out three shit prequels. Everything from the casting to the script, to the cheesy retro scene transitions, was incredibly average.

Maybe 5 years from now Lucas can revive the franchise by letting Chris Nolan write/direct Star Wars VII starring Christian Bale as Luke and Michael Caine as Obi-Wan.

Obi-wan returns after ROTJ?! What trickery is this?!

IIRC Obi-wan's ghost visits Luke for the last time during the Thrawn Trilogy

Really? That was the only story line that I DIDN'T like out of the extended series. It felt like they were stretching to keep the series alive with that story. I trudged through it, but it didn't feel the same as the other books.

It was refreshing and different instead of just a new character or a new introspective into someone's past - it was an entirely new species! They existed outside of the Force (without getting too technical), etc. I didn't like all the books, but I thought that it was something that could've actually be made into a movie.

You're going to trust a guy that is 800 years old yet still hasn't learned proper sentence structure?
