While I was really unimpressed with episodes 1 and 2 ... episode 3 was very well done IMHO. Quite a nice swansong for the little girl leaving ...

Last night showed what this series could really be with little more effort in the right direction. CGI wasnt bad either and I even liked the flying monkey type bad guys.

I love Patrick Warburton but a little of him goes a long way. Glad they said he is leaving.

I liked this episode as well.

It was fun to see the Doctor (Robert Picardo) from Voyager and Doctor Plox (John Billingsley) from Enterprise playing key characters on this episode.

I don't see the show being any better or worse this season compared to the last, yet ratings are seriously down, I like the show and afraid that it will not get extended...

Yesterday's episode was straight out of star trek, Sisko Picard pretty much everyone was in similar situation, it did not offer anything new or fresh, disappointing...

Well, tonight's episode "gave me a lot of data to process." 😉

So, at first I was thinking, "Oh, boy, here we go again with more L&R stuff."

And...that's exactly what they did.

And I was thinking that through the rest of the show...

Until the last couple of minutes. Which were so good they made me want to forgive the rest of the show. 🙂

(Mostly.)

Man, I hope that the bridge of the Orville is waterproof 🙂

I'm going to miss this show when Fox cancels it due to low ratings, like they did with Firefly. It's too bad that it didn't premier on a smaller network like AMC or Bravo instead... it would have stood a fighting chance.

They have Gotham, this, and.....what? Masked Singer? One would hope they'd make more of an effort to keep it.

The last episode brings back the memories from Voyager, it was very close to EMH's charecter minus the cocky, he discovers about his "humanness" if you will... Data was different...

So far I've really enjoyed this season. A lot of the main characters have found their own distinct personalities which only helps the show be more fun and engaging.
I really wish internet nerds would stop comparing this show to Star Trek though.

Android that has studied humanity for decades ( + some thousand years in that phasing planet episode) has zero understanding about mating..because that's not something any scientist would study?!?!
I do understand that TV has to take some liberties now and then for the plot's sake but this kind of stuff is way too dumb.

Also with the security officer,so she looses 20% of strength and bone mass and that translates into her being a cripple on her planet WTF?!?! There are people that are 20% weaker then others and they are still jumping around and doing anything they want, getting tired sooner and having to pay more attention not to brake anything would be the only downsides for her.

The only way for this show to keep on is if it's cheap enough to make for the suits not to worry too much about it.

Strong resemblance but I doubt it.

Isnt Adrienne engaged to Scott Grimes? Talk about over chicked.
You are correct, not mother-daughter. I don't believe they are even related. The woman that played the part of Yoeman Tonia Barrows on TOS is named Emily Banks and is now 86 years old. It is probably a good thing that I don't go look for a more recent photo. I don't want to damage my youthful memories.
