Star Trek: Legacy

Who is excited about the new Star Trek game? It has been a while since a good Trek game has come out. Sounds pretty good, if the previews I have read are any indication.

Wow. This game sounds awesome. I hope it's as good as SW: Empire at War.

That's scarry, unblanced issues, and mutiplayer was a complete joke because of BAD NET CODE!
Besides that, I have not know 1 good Trek Game(as for as the trek experience goes) since Klingon Academy.

What about the Elite Force series?

Meh... I liked the old one for NES where you flew between planets, encountered ships/races along the way, chose your crew and went on away missions to planets, etc.

I liked Star Trek: Birth of the Federation, Klingon Academy, and Elite Force 1. The Armada games were enjoyable as well.

The armada games were sooooo friggin buggy it wasnt even funny. Not to mention resource hogs.

Bridge Commander was good (mainly for the eye candy!), especially w/the ship mods. I still fire it up every so often.

The only Good ST games were ST: The 25th Anniversary and the Elite Force titles. Klingon Academy sucked, StarFleet Academy sucked, DS9: Harbinger sucked, Armada 1&2 sucked, etc. ST: Borg was alright, but purely for John DeLancie's one liners through out the game.

I don?t think the graphics look bad. They are a bit outdated, and this game will not likely be used as a benchmark to test the latest hardware. However, I think that could be a good thing. Hopefully the developers are more worried about making the game enjoyable and playable. As it stands this should let people with older systems play the game and boost its multiplayer market. Anyway, I am happy with the graphics I have seen.

hope it does well though, gameplay ftw 🙂

Hell, it's got better shield effects than most DS9 episodes - where they just completely did away with the shields in a lot of big battles. 😕
