I vaguely think this was a deal of the day on amazon 30 or 40 days ago; if so does anyone remember the price then ?

It's a nice set -- my wife bought it for me for my birthday. It has both the episodes as originally shown and the remastered episodes with the new special effects.

Don't buy it. It's REALLY cheesy and painful to watch. The klingons are just black guys with evil curly mustaches, the Romulans wear REALLY flaming helmets and the alien women are just regular women painted green. And the acting is just terrible. D:
