Here in Tampa they show Enterprise on Wednesday and then again on Saturday. It seems to be standard UPN practice.

Sorry. I misspoke.

I didn't mean that reruns on Saturday was common practice. I meant that showing the show twice was common practice for UPN.

Alright, I just viewed this episode because my affiliate airs Voyager reruns on Wednesdays in its place, just to piss off everyone who might want to tune in. I thought the episode was not half bad, but the effects rocked! Probably the best special effect scenes in this one episode than all of the previous trek's combined. It's that good.

Does anyone else think that mystery guy from the future, looks a LOT like Picard!!?!?!? Sounds a little like him also!

If it were Picard that'll mean the Enterprise captains and her crews have been defeating and killing members of the Duras familiy for over 100s of years.

I'm surprised noone else has mentioned it...
but the storyline reminded me in part of EVENT HORIZON.

Why have we never heard of the Delphic Expanse in Star Trek before now?

And if Humans destroyed them in 400 years... wouldn't that place it around Picards time??

Space is huge, so it's not like every possible region, even near Earth-Vulcan would be mentioned in Trek's time. Besides, the mission of starfleet is to seek out new life and explore where no one (man) has gone before. But if we've been there in 2153 then it wouldn't be unexplored in TOS and TNG would it? 200-220 years ahead would be in the Enterprise-Picard era by the way.

Actually, the silhouette of the guy from the future matches rather well with... Archer! :Q

Build, shape of the hair, etc.

He does seem more like Archer than Picard, definitely.
