You mean Karl Urban. But i totally agree. He plays a very good Dr Mccoy after DeForest Kelley.
I find him the most enjoyable character of the new series.
And Chekov. and the new Uhura.
Blasphemy. The new Uhura is completely different from the old one. The new one is much more in your face, less subtle and refined.

RIP Anton 🙁

Yeah, it is really sad. My policy with cars is, do it right, full autonomous driving or full human control. Nothing in between. Fancy features are nice, but the designers forget how the human mind works. When tired or worried or absent, those handy features can be a killer. The only thing that is truly handy in my opinion, is a camera and ultra sonic sensors for parking. When you have to control everything yourself, like using a parking brake, it becomes a automatism.

I liked the first reboot and "Into Darkness" even more, but I didn't care for this latest "Beyond" at all. I finished the movie and it wasn't *horrible*, but I'd never watch it again. I dunno exactly why... it just didn't capture my attention/care like the others did and it seemed kinda lame I guess.

Why do they have to have all these new alien races every single movie? Does not jive with the original Star Trek at all. In the original Star Trek there were a handful of species occupying the areas surrounding human territory, but now suddenly in the new star trek there are tons and tons of new alien species that were never mentioned in the original series.

Because audiences want something new. It would be like a Star Wars movie without a new ship.

I watched this a month or so ago...ST Beyond is one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time, and certainly the grand champion worst movie released in the last couple of years with such an absurd budget.

While I think ST in general is stupid, some of it is pretty good. This wasn't even a Star Trek movie. It was basically Fast and Furious with some spaceships. What a bunch of claptrap.

It was a particularly shitty movie. Reminded me of a Transformers movie. One of those things that just leaves you feeling empty inside when it finishes with a slight sick feeling that you can't quite pinpoint.

Saw it last night. It was a fun popcorn movie, definitely more generic sci-fi than trekkie, but using the Beastie Boys to fight off the bad guys while surfing the tidal wave had me rolling my eyes lol. It's like they were doing a parody of themselves..."ready to rock on, sir" c'mon 😀

The graphics were absolutely fantastic. That timelapse of the new ship being built at the end was incredible. And rofl at the giant green hand in the credits, touche.

It was more Jar Jar Binks than good SF.
