What are you talking about? game was scheduled for a 2016 release, thats last year, and they are still in alpha now. Likely wont even hit beta this year.

They will run out of money eventually, if you think they will get the game out before that happens you are much more optimistic than me.

They've never locked in a release date. They've only given targets. The modules for the persistent world being in alpha doesn't affect the Squadron 42 release, which is slated to come first. As far as money, you act like they have a finite amount.

This game is already DX11. Not sure what your point is.
The point is taking advantage of the possible performance advantages of DX12/Vulkan APIs over DX11. Both offer massive draw call improvements among many other things, but Vulkan will work on Windows 7.
