Staples won't PM circuit city on 9800pro

Just called Staples and tried to PM Circuit City's $349.99 on a ATI 9800 Pro. Superviser told me that corporate researched it and found that CC's part # was different from Staples. Never mind that the box on the ewbpage was the same and the title, ATI 9800 Pro was exactly the same! What gives? They denied the sale!

Sorry, this is not a Hot Deal. Please post this in the Moderator sponsored ~~~~ Brag & Moan ~~~~ thread.

Thank you,

did you try ordering it off the 'net or calling a B&M store?

You might be able to order it off the net, give a call to the CSR and have them adjust the price.

Or you could stop spending money on something that will be worth 30 bucks in a few years.

PS- Brag and Moan, next time... FOR GREAT JUSTICE!

this guy must be pricematching it because he might be adding something to the order after the PM to make it even lower, like a coupon, or a FAR and then a big coupon, something like that i would think

You should get a 9800 np and flash the bios. I just flashed the ATI 9800np that came with my Dell 4600 for $117.00 and it runs 9800PRO speeds with no problem. The steps are here 9800np to 9800pro.
Mine had 3ns Samsung memory.
