Staples Tuesday Sale

That brother multifunction is pretty tempting...my fiance's ancient HP deskjet (like 10+ years old) is out of ink and the ink costs more than a new printer would, plus she wants a scanner. A sheet fed document scanner would be nice but for the price...

anybody has this or any experience with this type of desk or construction
Generally, once you build a particle-board item, you shouldn't disassemble it, so if you move, it's a pain to transport the bulky or weird-shaped desks. Plus they're usually heavier than their wood counterparts and are not sturdy!

i have a particle board L shaped desk...sorta like the one in the link. i disassembled it while moving. reassembled fine...and still plenty sturdy. its actually holding up a 80 lbs 21" CRT right now

Try to stay away to taking apart a wood only furniture piece. At least look for something with a metal frame and wooden/partical wood boards so you can disassemble and reassemble without killing the table.

In a lot of the brands of put together furniture, the fasteners are such that the fastening connection is between two pieces of hardware vs. hardware to wood. These are pretty safe to disassemble. Any time you have to screw directly into the wood, and remove the screws from the wood, I'd be very cautious about disassembling that part, particularly if it's weight bearing.

edit: I have a sauder desk that's been dis/re assembled at least 6 or 7 times. It won't go through a doorway otherwise. I bought it when a p100 was top of the line, however many years ago that was.
