Just curious about their rebates.

Is it best to mail them or submit them online? Anyone
ever have bad experience or problems?

even if u submit it online, u still have to send in the rebate stuff. seems like a hassle but i recommend it because you will get your rebate faster AND you are able to check the status online.

I would suggest you move this thread before the flaming begins, since it really isn't a "hot deal." I've always mailed my rebates in. Staples' rebate is the fastest around in my opinion. Bought a printer, submitted the rebate, and the rebate check was here within 3 weeks.

ok guys.. thanks for the advice.. i will mail and
register them online.

mods please delete.. wasn't sure where to
post it... thought it was kinda hot deal related
though.

Yea you have to mail it in anyway. But if you do both you'll get it fast. Staples is good for getting rebates back quick.

one more dumb question and i am done 🙂

I bought 3 of the same item but my receipts are shuffled around and not matched
up. Will it matter if I send off the rebates and the receipts are mixed up? Can they
tell?

I will look at the receipts again and the UPC to see if there is anyway to
tell. Long as sku numbers and everything matches will I be fine here?

Yes it will matter. Are you sure you are allowed to have 3 rebates for the same item? Usually it's a limited to one. Find out now before you come back here and whine that they rejected your other 2 rebates. You should circle the item on the receipt, most rebates list that as something they want done.

well 2 rebates are allowed per name per household and my brother is using the other one.

they were all rang up seperate so there is one on each receipt. they are the same item but
what I am trying to figure out is if I mix the receipts up if it will matter. I mean the items are
the exact same sku # and everything.

If you have 3 items on 3 different receipts it shouldn't matter. I still don't understand how you can "mix them up" if everything matches. As long as the dates and items and sku's/upc match I don't see a problem.

PS Make copies of everything you submit, copies are usually a dime at the grocey store.

yea I will make copies for sure thanks.

I just mean the UPC is not on the receipt so I have no way in matching that up. SKU numbers are all the same though so I hope they can't tell which receipt goes with which box.

Mod please move my post. ty

I think what he means is that the rebates that printed out for each receipt are mixed up and he doesn't know how to match each rebate back to the correct receipt. Look at the top, usually on the right side, there is a transaction number on both the receipt and rebate.

well... the rebate details didn't print out automatically for
some reason. They had to manually print the form for me
from the staples website.

The staples I went to didn't print out the rebate form for a product I ordered so I had to wait 10 min just to get a rebate form, b/c there was some problems printing and then he went to make sopies of the receipts.

Staples rebate are one of the best rebates to fill. but do bath the online and mail submission.

and no this is not hot deal related..daam freshmen 😉

The online part is super easy and gives you a nice printed sheet to mail in with the rebate. I think it is actually easier than just filling out the form and mailing it in. It also gives me peace of mind knowing that Staples is expecting my rebate and I can check and see they actually received it.

Just be careful and note postmark date. IT CHANGES AFTER ONLINE REGISTRATION. I did a rebate online and didn't pay attention. They moved postmark date for UPC's and receipt from 7-21 to 7-01. I got a postcard denying a $80 rebate. I faxed a copy of the receipt with the postmark date circled, got an email still saying I missed postmark date. I then called and said I was going by the date on the receipt. The CSR I spoke to said I would get the rebate 6-8 weeks so I'm still waiting to see if it comes.
