Holy Cow

I was browsing Staples.com and looked at the memory they have and we all know about the PM and coupon you can go thruough to get it. Well I did last week. It was 137.99 and with the 30 coupon it was 107.99 and then a PM with crucial got me another 56.00 off Well the STAPLES DROPED the PRICE!!!! Its now at 117.99 so I called staples and what asked for a PM well I got it on both stick I bought!!! so I received another 20off each one.

That brings it down to about 40 bucks a stick

Hurry though Staples.com only has a 14 day PM policy or that's what the CSR told me :)

Staples PM's from the original price. So 137.99 -94. is the 56 off and then the coupon is still on there because you use it from before when you order online. It just took 4 CSR's the first time throught to get the PM

erikatcuse,

What in heaven's name are you saying?!? I don't understand your deal.

First of all, how can you get a price adjustment on the memory when it dropped to $117.99? This is still more than what you payed the first time around when you originally price matched Crucial...so you're already getting a lower price than the most recent Staples price drop...i.e. there's nothing to price match.

Also you say "$137.99 - 94 is 56 off..." which by my math 137.99 - 94 is 43.99 not 56.

Am I missing something here?

I wasn't using exact number.

Ok
staples crucial diff
137.99 - 94.00 = 43.99

137.99- 43.99 = 94 this is the total after a PM

so 94 - 30 staples coupon (used at initial check out time)= 64

Then Staples Lowers there Price by 20 bucks so I called back (maybe they just look at the initial price)

64-20= $44

All I know is that I received my memory my credit card was billed for 116 and credited for 52 and tonight the csr said i would receive another 20 credit

erikatcuse,

Ok, so what you are saying to me is that Staples has no record or idea of what you paid for the Ram originally...which was $64 after pricematch and $30 off coupon.

Staples thinks you paid $137.99 and now that the price has dropped to $117.99 they are going to give you another $20 back.

Boy, you are either incredibly "lucky" or you just talked to the stupidest CSR on the face of this planet. I don't think this one would work for too many of us out there.

Your right

I tried it and it worked. You never know but why not give it a shot. I think it was a CSR that just didn't care, said it's late at night why not....Well never know unless someone else tries it and 20bucks is still 20bucks

Time spent doing this and arguing, etc, would've fetched FAR more than 20 dollars.

Anyone else want to try this? I price matched my printer i'll get at the end of the week which was $250 at staples originally, with PM and coupon it came to $180 with tax, but next week Staples will drop the printer by $50. I might have to try it and see if I can get an extra $50. I admit that will have to be one stupid CSR though..
