bubagump - here is my opinion, which you won't like, I am sure. Give up and try another store, or admit you lost. Even if it is against their policy, there is no way that Staples is going to come down on the side of a consumer who is trying to make the company lose money on the price match of an item. Are you using a coupon as well, or is there a rebate on the item? Neither is allow with price match (or more correctly, they will take them into account) so you will lose if the facts are investigated, anyway.

You are right I dont like your opinion, but it makes sense. I am aware that they will take a coupon and rebate into consideration for a pricematch. My question is more general pertaining to any pricematch. This manager has been denying my pricematches continously saying that the price I wish to pricematch is below his cost and hence he cant do it. As far as I can tell from their written policy and my previous experience this is just a plain lie.
So, I am not yet ready to admit that I lost. As you suggest, if I lose after the facts are investigated then I will let this go and move on. But, if my complaint works then no only myself but anyone else wishing to pricematch at this particular store will benefit.
BTW, the store is in fullerton CA.

I'm interested in getting the hp 315 camera for my wife to use. Is this a good camera/price, or should I look for something else? How does this one compare to a 318, or to another brand.

is there a B&M $30 off $150 coupon I can use for the HP 315 camera??

please PM me

oh btw here is one person's review of the camera

I thought this was hot last week (this week at CompUSA for $179 incuding a 32mb card) this is hotter although I hate rebates!

I'm planning on getting the Cyber Speakers & the WinModem. I can always use a low cost speakers and/or modem in stock. Thanks for the posting.

Hey EXman,

Word of advice! Don't throw away your money on HP camera's, they are junk. Here is my experience:

I owned a C200 from HP, the LCD went out on it after a months use... I then upgraded to a 618 model from HP, same deal after a month of causual use, LCD went out... if you notice the retail stores you can't even find the C200 or 618 models.... except Fry's which sells the 618...

whatever components where used in the C200 where also used in the 618... because they had the same problems with the LcD's...

My advice! invest your money in a Nikon cool pix... they have very good ratings... if you want a cheap camera for just taking pictures... then go with a used digital camera from Ebay..

so can i just wirte down some coupons codes to take to the store or they need to be printed?

also, any clues to what stuff i wont be allowed to use a coupon on?

gorda777: you giving me second thoughts on a HP bro but damn I can get it for $100 for a 2.1 after coupon and rebate! SHAAASHOOOOOOOOSH! I wish it was a darn Olympus or fuji darn it! HP is so generic they make everything!

bubagump: NiMh are supposed to be good rechargable ones.

<< what kind of rechargable batteries are good for a digital camera? >>

My kid did a science fair project on this. She got 450+ flashes with a set of NiMH rechargables. The regular alkaline batteries only last about half that long.

I don't think that was really the question. I assume the question was what brand of rechargables work best. NiMH are really the only kind of rechargables that people buy these days.

Anyone know the difference between the 17 inch Envision EN-710 monitor ($70 rebate) and the EN-710e that was on sale a few weeks ago? I can't find any information about the EN-710 on the Envision site -- only the EN-710e. The EN-710 picture at Staples also looks different than the EN-710e at Envision's site.

Can somebody let me know if there are any printable coupons that i can present in the B&M store? Could anybody pleeez PM me. 15 off 100 is also welcome. OR Can i just rattle of coupon codes while paying at the counter?
Thoughts please.

thanks

BubaGump: Get the name & telephone number of the district manager. All Staples employees are REQUIRED to give you this information if you ask for it.

Give the district manager a call & explain you do alot of business with Staples. Tell him/her you had an occasion to use their price match policy, but the store manager refused. Ask how you should proceed since you do expect Staples to abide by the written policy as posted in the store.

This worked for me with a extremely anal Staples store manager in Roanoke. Took a few calls to the district manager & suddenly everything was fine.

Last time I was in there checking out he happened to be at the register. With a deep sigh I moved up in line until I reached him. After he rung up my items he asked if I had a coupon - and offered me one from in back if I didn't. I swear my jaw must have hit the floor.

I don't know if there is another digital camera for roughly $100 that is as good as the HP is. Anyone have any suggestions?
