STAPLES new EZRebates program

Chunkee

Lifer
Each one I have tried entering, I am getting cannot find the rebate. Anyone else experience this or know how this new system is SUPPOSED to work.

I know there is a rebate thread but I thought this may require a little separate attention since it is new and there are many that will be trying to use it.

Hammered is right...

I think even if I could go through the rebate process right now, I wouldn't.

I figure with as many rebates being processed, my bits would probably fall out between my Modem and their server. 🙂

I was just gonna try and submit mine.Took 3 page refreshes for the homepage to come up.Waiting till late night early morning would probably be best.
Hope these new easy rebates work as good as they sound.

I've submitted my rebates and got confirmation emails with tracking numbers. I believe I'll still have to mail in my invoice to prove I got the order.

My rebates are showing up as not even valid and if they do show up, it is the wrong rebate!

Find the item on the Staples site, and there should be a PDF that you can download to mail in. On that form there is a rebate code. Then use it on the Stapleseasyrebates.com site to find the rebate and add it.

OK good, not working for me too! from another post:

"These rebates are definitely not working for me. I hope this is just due to tons of flow. One of my rebate forms worked out of the six I have tried. I bought about $600 worth of stuff BEFORE rebates, and its should be more like $300 after rebates."

i called the said just wait a few days and it will begin working again. they were sorry but the systems weren't up to snuff for the bf staples results.

oh well. Its not like 3-4 days will make a huge difference in the scheme of things.

Thanks for informing
But I really think they should have their system up-to-date when there is a big sale like this.
Everyone want to submit their rebates ASAP and get their money back. The last few thanksgiving, I mailed in all my rebates the 2nd day.

well you can mail in all your rebates today i spose?

they choked no biggie it happens. at least it will taper off and heal itself.

its really the drive that i'm having trouble with. the dvd-rom its taking but you need to do both on one rebate i think

Im glad I found this thread. I figured the site was getting hammered, but when I was putting in my rebate IDs and the site wasn't finding anything, I was getting a bit worried. Will try really late at night or in a few days. 🙂

the site is down till the 30th now lol

/. effect i guess or AT effect or BF effect you name it.

i'll wait for the new system in case they clear the database lol

Update: The staples EZrebate site now reads "Due to the unprecedented success of the Staples Easy Rebates program we have experienced delays in accepting and processing on-line submissions. We are enhancing the site to better fulfill your needs and provide a superior rebate experience. Please check back with us Tuesday, November 30th, to experience the new and improved Staples Paperless Easy Rebates.

If you would like to submit today please follow the mail-in instructions on the rebate redemption form. No UPC labels or Sales Receipts are necessary, just mail in your rebate form.

Thank you. Your business and patience are appreciated."

Guess I'll be back Nov. 30... Heh, this reminds me of the collegeboard.com site going down when I was trying to check my SAT scores!

Uh oh. Could this be the beginning of the end of the Easy Rebates program? I absolutely love the idea of mail-free rebates, but at the same time, that will probably dramatically increased the number of people who apply for rebates and now the rebate houses can's claim that the submissions were lost in the mail. They can't give everyone their rightfully earned rebates or they wouldn't make a profit. Could the Easy Rebates program come to a fast end as a result of its own success?

I used this to submit the 15$ rebate for the SD card I bought there today. Was earlier on in the day, a bit after noon pst, and it was pretty slow but managed to get threw the process. Once thing I noticed was the rebate number was a bit touchy. Had to try twice to get it to work. Second time I typed in the leading 0 on the number and it took it. Most of the time you can leave off leading 0's but this didn't seem to like that. For those that where having trouble might check that when the site comes back up.

Here is what I got via email response from Staples:

Thank you for your inquiry regarding our online rebate processing. At
this moment, we are experiencing technical difficulties with submitting
rebates onlines, please try submitting your rebate online at a later time. We
are trying to fix the problem as quickly as possible. We do apologize for

Rite Aid has had instant online redemption for a while. You just type in your receipt id and it finds the items for you.

I think the reason Staples has gone to an online format is that more and more people are actually sending in their rebates. With higher cost of processing them manually and fewer people being lazy, they probably figured the cost turnover is going to happen soon. With the public outcry against shady rebate centers, this look to be a win-win move.

They now want you to wait until (at least) 11/30 to enter rebates. Also, many of the rebates (such as the Symantec ones) require you to submit by mail. Based on my rpevious experience, I almost believe it is so Symantec can deny receiving the rebate.

I bought a Belkin 54G router last week and entered the $35 rebate online after the purchase. It's still showing 'pending' and folks on FW are saying that it means it's stuck in the system and that I'll never get it. When you enter one and the purchase is verified, it should show 'pending return period expiration' or something like that (they wait 14 days after purchase for the return window to expire).

I think that Staples 'Easy' rebates are anything but right now.

You still have to mail in manufactures rebates as always
