This deal was too good to pass up: Netgear Wireless-G deal at Staples

Staples has the Netgear Wireless-G Broadband Router with free networking adapter for only $39.98 - yup, you get both for that price - and the deal is good at the walk-in stores as well - just picked me up one with the USB adapter.

Your adapter choices are:

Wireless-G notebook card
Wireless-G USB 2.0 adapter
Wireless-G desktop adapter

The Router is the 54mbps model, so it's not the fastest on the block, but the price is hard to beat....

Great deal for a very good product,

these routers are about the easiest to setup and admin,

great choice for newbs, and pro's alike.

plus they look good too.

Thanks OP just got the router with desktop adapter. I've been using Wireless-B so this is a nice upgrade.

Looks like a great deal, althouh I don't see WPA/WPA2 listed, only WEP. Great find regardless, just a heads up.

Edit: Assuming WGR614NA = WGR614, then netgears site does list WPA2. Link

Also, just called CompUSA and confirmed, they will do a pricematch. Awesome deal for those without a local Staples!

Got one. Using it now. The cashier had to get the coupon to scan for the free adapter. It is very easy to setup and get running. This will hold me a little while. I got the USB adapter for the flexibility.

Thanks OP

Just got mine today and I would advise staying away from this. My connection was dropping constantly, I've gone back to my old wireless-b router. Anyone know if you can return to B&M?

Did you upgrade the firmware?

any way to use this as a repeater? My cable modem/router is in the back of the house, and I'd like something up front that could amplify the signal.
